I have never been so scared
in my life before, but I am now.
It paralyzed me.
I supposed I was over it, and then I realized
memories will fade away.
Disappeared.
Do you think it’s time to have a dream again?
I don’t think so.
Disconnect it.
All those thousand wasted nights...
Fix your eyes on mine.
Fairly twisted logic times.
Divide it.
Anytime and never.
Would you stay with me in this dream?
Anywhere, whatever.
Why don’t you wanna gone with me?
everything you'd expect to find here is present and accounted for; polished production, retro vibes, impeccable attention to detail. this album feels like it leans a bit more into the disco-pop side of synthwave, with several tracks bringing the boogie in that inimitable Droid Bishop sound. there are still beautifully arranged introspective compositions as well, providing just the right amount a chill between dance tracks. and those guitar harmonies!! so sublime! Poetic, crystalline, elegant - "Sentient" is a perfect complement to "Escape...", focusing a bit more on rhythmic exploration. It may feel less painterly and more ascetic in the process (e.g. tracks like "Activate"), but if you stay tuned there's plenty of the cathartic synthwork and conceptual depth that made Oscillian a go-to act for me. Add vocal banger "The Brightest Cry" and a Blade Runner-esque "Coda" and you're in for a ride. x0riente
